The concept of Daingean has captured me, it has come through from work I've been doing the last year with the tribe from Indigenous Ireland.
In May 2023 they are hosting Daingean in Donegal, a week of practices, talks and sharing.
What is your Daingean, what makes you 'feel' indigenously Irish and why is reclaiming indigeneity important for our mental health and wellbeing.

For me its my Morning Practice...which is basically a walk outside in the garden first thing.
That might seem too simple, but it works for me so I've been keeping it up for nearly a year now.
The Key Elements
Bare feet on the cold ground
Breath steady and soft
Squat...havent had a single hip niggle since ive been starting my days with squat.
And of course a cuddle with my shadow
Thats my Daingean, what gives me strength, keeps me remembering the essence of who I am, who we each are. Authentic, natural, indigenous.
All those gifts with just 10mins. Doing this every morning is what helps this outdoor girl survive the indoor life we live.
