(Lump Sum) Person A ends up ahead because time in the market beats timing the market. By investing the full $10,000 on January 1st, their money had a full 12 months to grow every year. Because the market goes up more often than it goes down, getting capital deployed earlier historically wins. (DCA) While Person A wins the math game, Person B’s strategy is much easier for the average investor to execute. Not everyone has $10,000 available at the start of the year. It was the perfect day. ✨ In true Disney adult fashion, we spent the entire time doing everything except attractions — wandering the park, people watching, grabbing snacks, and soaking in all the little details that make this park so fun. From strolling through Buena Vista Street to hanging out along Pixar Pier and taking in the views around Cars Land, it was one of those days where you just let the park set the pace. No ride strategy. No rushing across the park.
