THD-C Fix How To... 💪
Ever fancied changing your work tops but funds don't allow? Or want a rental friendly change to suit your decor? Then this could be the answer you're looking for!
We have always used @dcfixbrand in our home due to renting, but it could be handy for you if you're on a budget or making do before an upgrade! It is so easy to install AND remove, plus it looks pretty good for £26 don't you think?
It is durable and waterproof, the only thing you cannot do is put hot pans on it (yay for worktop protectors) so here's my top tips -
• Clean your worktops with sugar soap to remove any grease.
• Lay the product out first to make sure you're happy with it. Once you remove the backing use a bank card or scraping tool to get out any air bubbles. It can be removed easily to correct any errors.
• Make cuts as necessary, around the sink can be a little fiddly. I recommend using a hairdryer to seal around the edges. It can make it more stretchy and adheres better to those awkward spaces.
• Make sure you try and match the joins or hide them as best as possible.
We purchased this from @bandq_uk in Ribbeck Oak at £13 a roll (we used two). It is so easy to remove afterwards and just needs a quick clean to remove any residue.

Yes it’s quite simple I mean if I can do it anyone can do it. If you’re on a tight budget this is an easy and quick fix £33 for the kitchen it’s a win win for me.

BEA little throw back to when I decided to vinyl wrap my kitchen worktops and then 18 months later showing how I removed it 💕
Overall my opinion is… vinyl wrap is great! It cost under £25 to wrap my entire worktops and it removed relatively easily without any damage whatsoever. Of course it’s a temporary fix… it won’t last and is not amazing quality (that being said it is heat resistant etc!)… but for £25 are you that bothered? I got 18 months out of mine which I don’t think is bad going! 👏🏼 I do personally prefer my original wooden tops but if you’re in two minds whether to give yours a go, you really don’t have much to lose! Go for it! 🥰
