To make sure you’re getting the most out of the exercise, double check that: ⭐️ Your pelvis is tilted inward, belly drawn in, low back pressed into the floor. ⭐️ Your ribs are tucked, think of closing the space between ribcage and pelvis. In de #MONDAYMOVES maak ik jullie niet blij met een dooie mus maar met een dooie insect 🪲. Zo heet deze oefening namelijk: de #deadbug 😁 Supergoed voor je core/buikspieren. Laat je je hoofd op de grond liggen, pak je vooral de lage buikspieren. Als je iets omhoog komt met je kin op je borst, train je meer je hogere buikspieren. Zorg dat je je onderrug goed op de grond houdt. Lukt dat niet doe dan minder herhalingen tot je sterk genoeg bent anders krijg je misschien last van je rug. Zoals je ziet kun je deze oefening met of zonder bal doen. Ik gebruik hier een bal met een doorsnede van 65cm. Ik doe 3x 10 herh L/R. By keeping the legs in a 90/90 position and slowly lowering one heel at a time, moms learn how to engage their transverse abdominis—the muscle that acts like a natural corset around the stomach. This exercise can help improve core stability, support the pelvic floor, reduce lower back pain, and assist in healing diastasis recti when done with proper breathing and control. DEAD BUGS 🐜🤌🏽 This is a great multi purpose exercise that mainly targets your core. Moving the opposite arm and leg in sync is a lot more difficult than it looks. This can help us with coordination and proprioception (knowing where our body is at in space). This also works our anterior oblique sling which connects your opposite oblique to adductor and provides stability to our pelvis on the front side of our body. It is DIFFICULT to keep your core engaged throughout the set if you are doing these correctly. I did these incorrectly for YEARS- I was still working muscles but not efficiently & was totally missing the biggest component of the core. I thought they were way easier than they actually are for this reason. Once I really learned how to engage my core, I was incredibly humbled. You can see here how my back is touching the floor throughout and doesn’t arch as my opposite arm and leg fall towards the floor. If I were arching or ribs were flaring, that would show lack of core engagement.
