• Body Contouring: Because of the diagonal cut, the fabric wraps around the bust area perfectly, providing a “mold-like” fit that is much more comfortable than a straight cut.
• Front Construction: Usually involves a Single Dart or a specific Three-Dart system to enhance the shape.
• Edge Finishing: Since the fabric is on the bias, the necklines are finished with “Cross-pieces” (bias strips) to prevent gaping and ensure the neckline sits flat against the skin.

The Princess Cut is a classic technique that replaces traditional waist darts with continuous shaping seams for a sleek, royal look.The Silhouette: The defining feature is the seam that starts from the Armhole (or sometimes the shoulder) and curves down through the bust point to the hemline.
• Panel Construction: The front of the kurti is divided into three parts: one center panel and two side panels. This eliminates the bulkiness of standard darts.
• Design Variations:
• Piping/Dori: Inserting a thin contrast piping along the princess seams highlights the structure and makes the person look taller.
• Fabric Mixing: You can use a printed fabric for the side panels and a solid color for the center panel to create a “slimming” optical illusion.
• Slit Placement: You can keep the side panels open from the waist down (side slits) or create a front-open style with buttons along the center panel.
