DEसोशल मीडिया पर इन दिनों एक अजीबोगरीब वीडियो तेजी से वायरल हो रहा है। वीडियो में एक व्यक्ति कपड़े प्रेस (इलेक्ट्रिक आयरन) पर रोटी सेकते और लोहे की रॉड की मदद से सब्जी बनाते हुए नजर आ रहा है। इस अनोखे जुगाड़ को देखकर लोग हैरान हैं और कमेंट्स में मजेदार प्रतिक्रियाएं दे रहे हैं। कई यूजर्स लिख रहे हैं कि ऐसे लोगों को गैस हो या न हो, कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता क्योंकि उन्होंने अपना जुगाड़ ढूंढ लिया है।
हालांकि इस तरह का प्रयोग बेहद खतरनाक हो सकता है। बिजली के उपकरणों का इस तरह उपयोग करने से हादसे की आशंका रहती है। इसलिए विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि लोग इस तरह के खतरनाक प्रयोग घर पर करने की कोशिश बिल्कुल न करें। यह वीडियो केवल जागरूकता के उद्देश्य से साझा किया जा रहा है, ताकि लोग ऐसे जोखिम भरे कामों से दूर रहें।

CURecently, Kashi has been in the news over demolition work around Manikarnika Ghat, with concerns about mandir structures and ghat spaces being altered to make way for a corridor.
It reminded me of a story I heard from @thelawanda whom I randomly met on the ghats during my last Dev Deepawali trip to Varanasi. The story goes that Kashi kept wealth at a distance, because when it settles, Kaliyug follows.
Make no mistake, the ghats do need care. Some corners are genuinely in bad shape. But repairing a place is very different from rebuilding it, especially when the cost is the city’s soul and heritage.
Kashi doesn’t need to be rebuilt. It needs to be preserved.
Its lanes were never meant to be widened, polished, or repackaged for comfort. They exist to slow you down, to make you adjust to the city instead of the city adjusting to you. When the intention shifts from preservation to convenience and footfall, the city doesn’t collapse overnight. It quietly begins to lose its soul to commercialisation.
