FUDexter is a crime drama and psychological thriller series that premiered in 2006. The show follows Dexter Morgan, a forensic blood spatter analyst who works for Miami Metro Police Department.
On the surface, Dexter seems quiet, intelligent, and socially awkward. But secretly, he is a serial killer. However, he follows a strict moral code taught to him by his adoptive father: he only kills criminals who have escaped justice and makes sure he has clear proof before acting.
The series explores themes like morality, identity, trauma, self-control, and the duality of human nature. Much of the story is told through Dexter’s inner thoughts, allowing viewers to understand his mindset and internal struggle between appearing normal and satisfying his “Dark Passenger.”
