The Houston Fire Department donated over $500,000 of fire equipment to the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, one of the Sister Cities of Houston. This donation was possible thanks to the U.S. Consulate Guayaquil's Regional Security Officer and Houston firefighter Eric Stone who both previously served as Marine Security Guards at the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania. One shouted, “How does it feel to have your legacy be genocide?” while the other called hm a “criminal.” Blinken asked them to “respect the process.” Both men were physically removed by Diplomatic Security officers.

On Friday, April 19, 2024, around 4pm ET, U.S Secret Service ("USSS"), US State Department Diplomatic Security, and the Metropolitan Police Department, using threats of imminent arrest, forcibly removed and abruptly terminated our lawful and peaceful demonstration set up in front of the Embassy of |srael, located at 3514 International Drive, Washington, D.C. 20008. This ongoing lawful and peaceful protest was initiated fifty-four (54) days go, on February 26, 2024, by grassroots human-rights activists humanitarians, advocates, and various professionals -all of whom are protesting in solidarity against the ongoing indiscriminate killing of civilians in Gaza, and the various violations of international law being committed by the State of Israel. #corruption #America #MENA #Asia #SouthAfrica #SouthAmerica

The energy in the room was undeniable, and we’re excited to carry this momentum forward. A heartfelt thank you to all the leaders who participated, especially our keynote speakers: Gentry O. Smith, Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security, and Kristie Canegallo, Acting Deputy Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security. The First “Indonesia Badminton Cup 2024” In Colombo HE @Dewi_G_Tobing officially opened the 1st “Indonesia Badminton Cup 2024” on 11/8/2024. The event was attended by the Diplomatic Corps, Sri Lankan, and Indonesian badminton lovers, the Director General of Sports, Prof. Shemal Fernando Ph.D, the Director of Diplomatic Security, SSP Harsha Amarasinghe, and the owner of the M&A Badminton Court, Mr. Claren Homer, were also in attendance. The Ambassador of Indonesia, H.E. Dewi Gustina Tobing, officially opened the event. She said that the Indonesia Badminton Cup was a series of activities to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of Indonesia. She further stated that Badminton was a medium that strengthened the relationships between Indonesian and Sri Lankan communities. Moreover, Ambassador Dewi enlightened the achievements of Indonesian badminton players in the international arena for many years. Based on years of experience, Indonesian coaches are also known for their abilities and expertise. This was seen at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where the Indonesian badminton coach for the Korean Team, Rony Agustinus, played a role in An Se-Young’s success in winning the gold medal. In his remark, Prof. Shemal Fernando, Ph.D., congratulated the Indonesian Embassy for organizing and selecting Badminton, a widespread global sport. He further acknowledged Indonesian Badminton’s achievements in the international arena. He expressed his appreciation for conducting this event, which brings together players from Indonesia and Sri Lanka, fostering camaraderie through sportsmanship. The first “Indonesia Badminton Cup” was enthusiastically welcomed by the Diplomatic Corps and Sri Lankan and Indonesian badminton lovers. This event is not merely a competition but a symbol of friendship, mutual respect, and the enduring Indonesia-Sri Lanka partnership. Sixty-four players participated in the double-game badminton matches. The pair, Mr. Md. Reyad Hossain/Mr. Laxmanan Sanjeev was recorded as the champion, while the first runners-up were Mr. Sakri/Mr. Matheesla.
