THEarlier this year, I started playing the dobro after injuring both of my thumbs skiing. I am in a couple bluegrass ensembles through @harmonymusichouse in Boulder and we have a show tonight at the Altona Grange from 5-8pm. It has been super fun to learn to play bluegrass and get to know so many new friends in Boulder, Lyons, and all over Colorado! I picked up this @beardguitars on Reverb a few weeks ago and LOVE the blue! #bluegrass #dobro

PALearning to play dobro slide: DAY 1
I've been paying guitar for over 30 years and played to over 80k people on stage, played guitar as a session musician and toured with my own band for 15 years but I've never dived in to playing slide, specifically dobro.
I picked up this cheap dobro copy for my birthday a few days ago and had a go at this opening riff.
There's definitely room for improvement .
