✨ Exfoliation is the key!! Choose an exfoliant according to your skin type and use it regularly to get rid of the dead skin cells so that your other skincare can actually work. I started with salicylic acid when my skin was oily but later realised that my skin has become more dehydrated and combination so I switched to glycolic acid. Now, I use mild exfoliation pads as my skin has become very sensitive and my skin doesn’t feel that clogged 🥹🧿 ✨ Retinoids are non negotiable for me!! If you are a beginner then start with retinol (~0.1) and if you are using it for a while then you can switch to retinal else retinol is also fine. I am recently using the Retinal shot and it’s working pretty well for me.💕 ✨ Bifida & Galactomyces are super underrated! Honestly, I don’t know how exactly it works but it shows visible results. I noticed smoother and tighter skin within a few uses. If you are a teenager who cannot use many actives or have very sensitive skin then I highly recommend you to use this serum. 🤩 ✨ Double Cleansing really helps! This has become a daily habit for me now. When I first started double cleansing I was surprised how it amazingly it worked for my skin texture. It literally makes my skin look more youthful, fresh and clean. 😍😘 ✨ Barrier Repairing Moisturiser to the rescue! Sometimes all our skin needs is healing and we mistake the texture as clogged pores so it’s very important to keep your barrier healthy and let the skin heal. I swear by Panthenol and Cica to maintain a healthy barrier. #skintexture #closedcomedones #comedones

And it can be a good option for some people, especially those with oily skin, or if you find that you have trouble getting makeup or sunscreen off with your regular cleanser alone. That said, I’m here to remind you that double cleansing, like just about everything in skincare (aside from sun protection) is not a must. Skincare really is personal and should be focused on doing the right thing for you and your skin. For those wanting to learn more about double cleansing, in fact this “trend” originated in Asia likely in the 14th century, and only recently became popular in North America along with other elements of Asian beauty. The premise is to first use an oil-based cleanser (some may use micellar water instead) to remove makeup, sunscreen, and sebum. That is followed by a more traditional (water-based) cleanser that is appropriate to your skin type, which may be able to more deeply cleanse your skin following the first cleanse.
