Wrong. You can use them on heaps of things like tote bags, hoodies, crewnecks, workwear, sportswear, hats, and even socks.
If it can handle heat, it can probably handle a transfer.

TRNo heat press? You can still apply DTF transfers at home using a regular iron, just follow these steps carefully:
Iron settings:
• Set iron to Cotton / High
• Temperature should be around 350–375°F
• Turn OFF steam (very important)
• Use a flat, hard surface (table or countertop not an ironing board)
How to apply:
1️⃣ Pre-press the garment for 5–10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles
2️⃣ Place the transfer on the fabric
3️⃣ Press firmly with the iron for 15–20 seconds per section
(Do NOT slide the iron press and hold)
4️⃣ Cover all areas evenly, especially edges
5️⃣ Let it cool slightly, then peel according to transfer instructions
6️⃣ Optional but recommended: cover with parchment paper and re-press for 5–10 seconds
Important tips:
• Apply strong, even pressure
• Take your time irons heat smaller areas than presses
• Wash garment inside out, cold water, hang dry for best results
