Entered a dyno comp at @momentumclimbingseattle to try 30+ dynos in 2hrs. Hoped for some wall runs and there were a total of 8. Got all of them in 1 or 2 attempts except the last green one with a slopey hold. Could only do it after the gym unlocked more ‘Momentum’ by opening the storage room door 😄 My overall results including other types of dynos: - 15 tops over 47 attempts (70 attempts including no-tops) - 8 runstarts, 2 slab coordinations, 2 classic dynos, 2 static reaches, 1 betabreak #bouldering #climbingdyno #climbing #dynocomp #momentumsodo

Master The Sideways Jump-to-Lâche 🚀⚽️🏹🛬 Lateral dynos into lâches are chaos if you can’t control the rotation and the power. Here is the framework we used in practice to stick this move: 1️⃣ Kick the Soccer Ball: On the lâche, your body naturally wants to spin out. Use your trailing leg as a counter-weight. Wind it back, then “kick” across your body to square your hips up for the landing. 2️⃣ The Slingshot: A good lâche doesn’t involve doing a pull-up. Relax your shoulders, arch your back, and drive your hips forward horizontally. This generates the momentum you need to float. 3️⃣ Don’t Over-Jump: Precision > Power. (Footwork even matters for dynos!) These three habits are the ones I see the most in boulderers who are climbing below V5.
