LAThe data 📊 is hard to ignore.
⬆️More physical aggression.
⬆️More disrespect.
⬆️More classroom disruption.
And none of this is happening in easy conditions.
Educators are navigating more demands, fewer supports, and systems that often feel like they are working against them, not with them.
Being aware of trauma still matters.
But awareness is not the same as excusing behavior.
For many educators, we were taught to explain behavior instead of being given the tools to change it.
As a new year approaches, this is the reminder worth carrying with you.
🩷You are already doing hard work.
🩷You are already making a difference.
🩷And you are the ones who bring consistency, safety, and hope into students’ lives every single day.
👉🏽We can acknowledge a student’s pain and still hold expectations.
👉🏽We can teach respect even when it has never been modeled.
👉🏽We can lead with empathy and accountability.
That is where meaningful behavior change starts.
