🏆 It’s the 15th anniversary of @experiencegrandrapids Restaurant Week and we had the best progressive dinner last night. 🥩 Stop 1: @bostwicklakeinn for rosé, apple cider acorn squash, Steak Frites with curry ketchup, and a brown butter pumpkin blondie. The lake is still so beautiful and we ate out on the patio with heaters! 🌮 Stop 2: @maxstiki for their chicken satay and peanut sauce plus chicken tacos with bang sauce. We also ordered the tiki bowl and set it on fire in our private lounge. This place has such great energy if you’re looking for a Hawaiian getaway right in Grand Rapids. 🍓 Stop 3: @pochiscolombianrestaurant I have been wanting to go here since they opened because they have arepas con queso, which is my favorite food in the entire world. We also got two chocolate-covered strawberries to go. ☕️ Stop 4: @socialmisfitswcc for an end-of-night coffee. I got an iced almond milk latte with homemade brown sugar syrup and my boyfriend got an affogato with a shot of Jameson. We have taken over Social Misfits before for karaoke and it’s the BEST time. They have amazing waffles and a really good non-alcoholic lavender soda. 📝 Whenever something like restaurant week comes around, I always push it off because I feel too stressed or busy or indecisive about what I want to do. 🥗 I’m so glad I got out during opening weekend. Check out the app, write down which restaurants you want to try, and see what they’re offering. Every place should have a $25, $35, or $45 option for a multi-course experience. 🧀 You can also add Flights of Flavor to your app and have even moreeee app and cocktail and coffee/tea options. 🗺️ Are you hitting restaurant week? Still on my list is @aperitivogr, @thegreenwell, @iheartgrove, and @margauxjwgr. 🗿🔥 This is your call to action to just make the plans. OR, try a progressive dinner and hit a few. Life is so short and to me, memories are everything. And a flaming cinnamon rum drink in a private tiki lounge is certainly one I’ll remember for a longggg time. 🌺 Let me know where you’re heading! For two months, the city transforms into a full on winter wonderland, with over 150 free events, interactive art installations, and experiences that make winter FUN! From massive glowing art pieces to live performances, walking tours, and family friendly activities, there’s something happening almost every day. Whether you’re here for the weekend or a longtime local, this festival is THE way to experience winter in GR!! ✨World of Winter is happening now through March 2nd!
