THE-bikes are cool… but we’ve gotta be better with how we use em.
Yeah, I ride one i take it to Mum’s in Glenmore Park because it’s quicker than the car. But riding on shared paths, you can feel how on edge people are. Families with prams, kids, dogs… people literally stepping off the path because they’re scared.
That didn’t come from nowhere. That’s from riders flying past with zero care.
If I roll up, I slow right down, hop off the path if I need to, and let them know they have every right to be there especially when there’s a baby involved.
E-bikes aren’t the problem.
The way we ride them can be.
Let’s not put ourselves or some random person just going to get milk in danger.
Bit more awareness. Bit more respect.
We all need to be better in this space. 💙🚲
