I’m going to say something that might surprise you. Face exercises alone can make things worse. I know. I teach face yoga. But hear me out. Your face muscles are not like your body muscles. They’re thin. They’re layered. Many of them are already overworked from stress and tension and clenching and squinting. Every emotion you hold shows up here. So when you add strengthening exercises on top of muscles that are already tight, you’re just adding tension to tension. You’re building strength on a foundation that’s locked up. This is why so many people try face yoga and quit. They feel tighter. They get headaches. They don’t see results. The answer isn’t to stop exercising. It’s to release first. Always release before you strengthen. And always release after. Think of it like this. You wouldn’t do a strong workout and skip the stretch. Your face deserves the same respect. In my method I teach three phases. Posture first. Then release. Then strengthen. In that order. Every single time. The exercises in this video work because they’re paired with release. Never one without the other. Try them. But promise me you’ll do the release work too. Full method in my book. January 15.
