France Urges Christmas Truce Amid Escalating Farmer Protests The French government on Friday called for a temporary halt in farmer protests over the Christmas period, as demonstrations continued across the country for a second week. Farmers have blocked roads with tractors, dumped manure, and targeted public buildings to protest government policies on cattle lumpy skin disease and opposition to the EU Mercosur trade deal. Warum ist es billiger, Produkte aus anderen Ländern zu importieren, als sie in Europa herzustellen? Wissen Sie, wieviele Produkte in einem Supermarkt aus dem Ausland kommen? Während in Spanien Zitrusfrüchte vergammeln, importiert währenddessen die EU aus Südafrika billig Zitrusfrüchte. Obst und Gemüse zum Beispiel aus Afrika und Latainamerika ist billiger , da die strengen Richtlinien nicht eingehalten werden müssen und weil Menschen auf den Äckern als Sklaven ausgebeutet werden. Pestizide Incl. Ausserdem haben Discounter eine riesige Macht und geben die Preise vor. So sind noch nichtmal die Kosten der Farmer in Lateinamerika Gedeck. Immer billiger sol es sein, dafür steigen die Gewinne der Discounter oder Supermärkte. Möglich machen es auch sogenannte Freihandelsabkommen. Dass die Europäer Tomaten aus China bekommen, während dank Ausbeutung und durch Subventionen italienische Tomaten den Neuseeländischen Markt zerstören, verrückt. Geflügel aus Brasilien und Thailand, Rindfleisch aus Argentinien, Paraguay und auch aus den USA, während China Fleisch „Made in Germany“ bevorzugt schon verrückt. Sogar die Milch kommt aus Drittländern, da billigerer.
