D'abord, deux voitures ont été saisies dans l’après-midi lors d’une opération de la Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) menée à Goodlands. Deux suspects ont également été interpellés à la FCC à Réduit. The Trump administration is now warning that news outlets could lose their broadcasting licenses over how they report on the war with Iran. Yes… you read that right. According to reports, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said broadcasters spreading what he called “hoaxes and news distortions” about the conflict could face consequences when their licenses come up for renewal. He even warned networks to “correct course before their license renewals come up.” The warning reportedly came after President Trump accused major media outlets of misleading the public about developments in the war with Iran. But this is where things get intense. Critics are already sounding the alarm, saying government threats toward broadcasters over critical reporting could raise serious press freedom concerns. Others argue the administration is simply pushing back against what it sees as biased or inaccurate coverage during wartime. Either way, the story has triggered a massive debate online.
