I love slicing them on the side of my eggs or making a simple salad with tomatoes and sliced onion. 🌱Chives: Herbs & spices are some of the best ways to add flavor and nutrition to your meals and I can’t get enough of farmers market chives - in my eggs or mixed in a tuna salad - YUM! 🥕Carrots: If you think you don’t like carrots and you only ever eat baby carrots - think again. I love roasting these and then topping them with feta and pistachios. 🌿Asapargus: Asparagus is a spring veggie that is great roasted as a side or chopped and blanched then mixed in a pasta. So bright and flavorful!

Japanese Breakfasts are everything a breakfast should be : ✅ packed with protein: protein helps keep up full and build muscle. It’s critical for our growth, development, and healthy ageing. They enjoy tofu, egg, salmon thats rich in omega 3s, soybeans, and sometimes a little meat at their breakfasts. ✅ rich in fiber: there are always a lot of vegetables at a Japanese meal, especially breakfast. They come steamed, marinated, boiled in a soup, and pickled. ✅ loaded with probiotics: There are lots of fermented foods that are high in probiotics (aka healthy bugs that live in our gut and help our digestion, immunity, mental health, and our weight). You see it in the miso soup, the miso on the omelet, the nato, and pickled vegetables ✅ low in sugar: if you see any juice at all, it will probably come in a glass the size of a shot glass, about half the soze of an iphone. Women need about 25-28g of fiber / day Men need about 32-38g of fiber / day 15g fiber chia seed pudding🍊: - in a bowl mix: 6 tbsp chia seeds, the zest of an orange, 1/2 orange squeezed, 2-3 tbsp greek yogurt, a drizzle of raw honey and milk (I used about 3 tbsp) cover and let sit in the fridge for 20min or overnight - to another bowl add Greek yogurt, 2-3 tbsp of the chia pudding in the middle and top with favorite toppings (I used granola, 1/2 orange, coconut flakes, dark choc and honey) enjoy :) #chiapudding #highfiber #fiberrich

There are two main types of fiber: soluble and insoluble. 1. Soluble fiber: Dissolves in water to form a gel-like substance in the digestive tract, which helps slow down digestion and absorption of nutrients. 2. Insoluble fiber: Does not dissolve in water and adds bulk to stool, aiding in regular bowel movements and preventing constipation. Some of my favorite types of fiber to add into my diet are: - Chia seeds: Rich in soluble fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants, chia seeds can help regulate blood sugar levels, promote satiety, and support heart health. - Flaxseeds: High in both soluble and insoluble fiber, flaxseeds also contain omega-3 fatty acids, which contribute to heart health, reduce inflammation, and support brain function. - Psyllium husk: Primarily soluble fiber, psyllium husk is commonly used as a dietary supplement or added to foods to aid in digestion, relieve constipation, and promote regularity. - Acacia fiber: Another source of soluble fiber, acacia fiber is derived from the sap of the Acacia tree and is often used as a prebiotic to support gut health and improve digestion. Fiber helps reduce estrogen and androgen dominance by aiding in the elimination of excess hormones from the body. High-fiber foods bind to estrogen and androgens in the digestive tract, preventing their reabsorption and facilitating their removal through bowel movements. This helps balance hormone levels in the body, reducing dominance of estrogen and androgens. Incorporating a variety of fiber-rich foods into your diet can help ensure you receive the full range of health benefits associated with fiber consumption. Toss the carrot sticks in a drizzle of olive oil and your favorite spices before roasting them in the air-fryer. They’re the perfect side dish for eaters of all ages. #MeatlessMonday 4-5 large carrots, peeled & cut into sticks 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp salt Dried parsley for garnish (optional) In a bowl, combine carrots, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Stir until combined. Place carrots in the air fryer in a single layer and cook at 380F for 13 minutes, tossing them halfway through cooking.
