I guess this means he can throw 97mph now right? @armoreau Ok, ok calm down FlexProGrip. This testing shows we’ve built a great base of strength and now need to continue layering in tolerance and endurance of Ty’s flexor muscles (muscles that are extremely crucial for elbow health and spin rate). He’s in a great spot for this stage of rehab and we expect a huge senior year from him.

This was from a few weeks ago of Ohio State pitcher, @blaine.wynk using the FlexProGrip after one of his high intent throwing days in preparation for the Cape🦾 The @flexprogrip is able to objectively give you feedback on whether the muscle-tendon units surrounding the UCL are weak, average, or getting stronger. This is important because the stronger and more resilient these muscle-tendon units become, results in them doing a better job of offloading torque from the UCL. Once you’re able to properly and confidently do this for 10 seconds, move on to… 2️⃣ The FLEX HANG. Once you can properly and confidently do this for 10 seconds, move on to… 3️⃣ The NEGATIVE PULL-UP. Proactive this until you can achieve 10 reps in one set. Once you can do that, move on to the… 4️⃣ BODY ROW. Once you can do 10 of these in a row, it’s time to move to the… 5️⃣ PULL-UP. Work on maxing out your rep-ranges, while ensuring you use proper form, until you can achieve 10 reps. The number one thing is to maintain your progression efforts. Keep working on it, and eventually you’ll get there.
