With the ball it was Dan Bellingan all over the shop – two wickets and a run-out, buzzing about like a wasp trapped in a conservatory. His dad John added a slice of South African grit, bowling with the focus of a man guarding his last packet of biltong, while Gareth “Kiwi Express” Pindred steamed in from New Zealand and sent Dench packing. The result? Flimwell shackled to 188/8 – respectable, but nowhere near Dan-proof. The chase began shakier than a service station sausage roll at 17–3, but then came the Bellingans. Dan, calm as you like, crafted a majestic 84 not out, every shot measured, every run nailed on, batting like a man who irons his whites and files his tax return in September. At the other end John rolled back the years with 46, nudging and nurdling like a seasoned Springbok who knows how to soak up pressure. Together they built a partnership sturdier than Wickes shelving, flipped the script, and put Leigh back in charge. Mahmudul Hassan chipped in with a cool 12* at the finish, but this was Dan’s day through and through. Leigh coasted home on 191/6 in 36.3 overs. Final score: Leigh win by 4 wickets. Back of the net! 📍 Wild Iris, Flimwell Park AD - PR EXPERIENCE What a special place @wildiris21 is ✨ A holistic retreat based in the brand new sustainable development @flimwellpark 🌱 Founders Emma and Steph are so lovely and welcoming, I honestly had such a beautiful morning and didn’t want to leave! ☀️ Every single detail is thought out with such care, all with the planet and your wellbeing in mind. Expect clean, vegan products here 🌿 I had the Iris Pedicure (£30) complete with gel polish which was beautiful! I loved my little foot soup 😂 Plus the Wild Mud Ritual Facial (£60) which was 60 mins of pure bliss. I was cleansed, exfoliated, massaged (head, shoulders and arms!) and to finish off I had a Seaweed Mask to tone and hydrate my dry skin 🌊 My face is SO soft and glowy as you can probably tell! ⭐️ I finished my time in the Relaxtion Room which I had all to myself. It was so beautiful staring out amoungst the trees, taking a moment to relax and eat my snacks! 😍 If busy salons aren’t your thing, you’d LOVE it here!
