If your ears constantly feel full, muffled, or like they need to pop, stop holding your nose and blowing—you're likely just creating more irritation. In the video, I’m showing the High-Grab Pop: By grabbing high on the ear and giving a quick, gentle downward pull, you create a rapid pressure change that provides instant relief. But if you have stubborn fluid trapped behind the eardrum (Eustachian tube dysfunction), you need the Low-Grab Stretch: 1️⃣ Grab low on the earlobe. 2️⃣ Pull down and hold a sustained stretch. Why does this work? The sustained stretch releases the surrounding fascia and soft tissue, physically opening up the Eustachian tube so that trapped fluid can finally drain out through your lymphatic system. Save this for allergy season 🤧 or your next flight ✈️, and let me know in the comments if you get the pop or the drain! 👇 #EustachianTubeDysfunction #CloggedEars #EarPressureRelief #LymphaticDrainage #FasciaRelease

If your ears feel “off”… it might not be your ears at all. It might be your lymph. 👀 So many women deal with: • Fullness or pressure • Crackling or popping • Feeling like you can’t “equalize” • Muffled hearing • Fluid behind the ears • Post-nasal drip that never fully clears • Itchy, irritated ear canals • Dizziness or balance “wobbles” • That constant “need to clear your throat” • Sinus congestion that keeps coming back These are HUGE clues that the drainage around your tonsillar, ear, and occipital nodes is backed up. Your ears don’t drain down your Eustachian tubes they drain through your lymph. So when we clear the termini, tonsillar and then ears that fluid has somewhere to go. NOTE: I always recommend doing the full specific 7 routine and just add in the ears 😉 This method is going to gently open the pathways around the jaw and neck so that the pressure finally has somewhere to go. It’s quick. It’s gentle. And your ears will tell you immediately when the system is flowing again. Let me know how this feels 🤩 Happy draining #lymph #lymphdrainage #lymphaticdrainage #specific7 #pluggedears #cloggedears #congestedears #fullears

The human ear is a masterpiece of biological engineering — a tiny yet incredibly complex system that allows us to perceive sound and maintain balance. It’s divided into three main parts: the **outer ear**, the **middle ear**, and the **inner ear** — each performing a unique and essential role in the way we experience the world. The **outer ear** (pinna and ear canal) collects sound waves from the environment and funnels them inward. These vibrations travel through the canal until they reach the **eardrum** — a delicate membrane that turns invisible air movements into physical motion. Beyond the eardrum lies the **middle ear**, a small air-filled cavity containing the three smallest bones in the human body — the **malleus**, **incus**, and **stapes**. Together, they amplify vibrations and send them deeper into the **inner ear**, where true magic happens. The **Eustachian tube** connects this middle section to the back of the throat, helping regulate air pressure so the eardrum can vibrate freely — a subtle yet vital function that most of us notice only when flying or diving. In the **inner ear**, the **cochlea** — a spiral-shaped, fluid-filled structure — translates these vibrations into electrical signals that travel through the **auditory nerve** to the brain. There, sound transforms into meaning: a voice, a song, a memory. And within the same labyrinth lies the **vestibular system**, responsible for our sense of balance — constantly communicating with the eyes and body to keep us oriented in space. 📸 Order your exclusive custom ear structure image via the link in bio.

This Is NOT How You Fix Cauliflower Ear… Here’s Why 👇👂💥 If you’ve ever trained in MMA, wrestling, or jiu-jitsu, you’ve probably seen someone do exactly what’s happening in this video — pushing, squeezing, or “moving the fluid around” inside a swollen ear. And while it might look like a quick fix, it actually causes more harm than good. 👇 Here’s what you’re really seeing: Cauliflower ear happens when trauma causes blood or fluid to collect between the ear’s skin and cartilage. That trapped fluid forms a soft, squishy pocket (a hematoma). When someone squeezes it, they’re basically forcing the swollen tissue and trapped blood to move around, which is why it’s so painful. 👇 Why this is dangerous: ❌ Squeezing does NOT drain the fluid ❌ It can damage the cartilage even more ❌ It increases inflammation ❌ It raises the risk of infection ❌ It makes permanent deformity more likely Cauliflower ear isn’t just cosmetic — if not treated properly, the cartilage can harden and deform permanently. 👇 What proper treatment actually looks like: ✔ A trained medical professional drains the fluid in a clean, sterile environment ✔ A compression dressing is applied so the pocket doesn’t refill ✔ The athlete avoids friction or trauma while healing ✔ Follow-up care ensures the ear returns to normal shape 👇 Why fighters should take this seriously: Once the cartilage dies due to blocked blood flow, the ear becomes permanently misshapen — and no amount of squeezing can reverse that. Early treatment = the difference between a normal ear and a lifelong deformity. 🥋👂 Bottom line: Squeezing a teammate’s ear might seem like locker-room problem-solving, but it’s actually one of the fastest ways to cause unnecessary pain, permanent damage, and avoidable injury. If you or a teammate has swelling in the ear, get it looked at by a professional right away — your ears will thank you. 😷✅Follow @drdavidabbasi for More Daily Medical Content & Health Tips! 🌴😷Schedule a consultation to see Dr. Abbasi as a patient in Delray Beach! A ruptured eardrum (tympanic membrane perforation) is a tear or hole in the thin tissue separating your outer and middle ear, often caused by infections, loud noises, or injury, leading to pain, drainage, and temporary hearing loss, but usually heals within weeks, though some require patches or surgery.   Symptoms Sudden, sharp ear pain, or sudden relief if pain was from an infection Fluid draining from the ear (clear, pus, or bloody) Tinnitus (ear ringing or buzzing) Partial or complete hearing loss in the affected ear Dizziness or vertigo Facial weakness (in severe cases)  Causes Infections: Middle ear infections causing fluid buildup. Trauma: A slap to the ear, inserting objects (like cotton swabs) too deep, or head injury. Pressure Changes (Barotrauma): Flying, scuba diving, or mountain driving. Loud Noises: Explosions or gunshots.  Treatment & Healing Most heal on their own: Often within weeks, with simple care. Keep it Dry: Avoid water in the ear to prevent infection. Antibiotics: Ear drops for infection. Eardrum Patch: A paper patch to help it close. Surgery (Tympanoplasty): For larger tears, using your own tissue to patch it.  When to See a Doctor Seek immediate medical attention for severe pain, significant hearing loss, fever, or bloody drainage.  LIKE SHARE AND FOLLOW TO SUPPORT #ear #drum #rupture #membrane #surgery
