CASave yourself from banking frauds like THIS!
Most bank frauds don’t begin with hacking. They start with a normal-looking message, link, or call that feels urgent and familiar. If you ever see multiple links claiming to be from your bank, pause for a moment and verify before clicking.
First, always check the website link. All official Indian bank websites end with .bank.in. They never end with .com, .co, or just .in. If any website asks you to verify, update, or reconfirm your bank details and the link is not on .bank.in, close it immediately.
Second, be careful with bank calls. Banks can officially call only from 1600-series numbers. No bank will ever ask for your OTP, PIN, CVV, net banking password, or ask you to click a link during a call. If anyone asks for this information, it is always fraud.
Third, check bank SMS carefully. Genuine bank messages follow official formats for service and transaction alerts. Messages that create panic or push you to click on random links while pretending to be your bank should never be trusted.
If something still goes wrong, immediately call the government’s financial fraud helpline 1930. Acting fast can help stop the loss.
