We had another fantastic Stakeholder Advisory Group meeting to plan our Nature Theory of Change for the Mobilising Climate Action project. A big thanks to our partners @changeworks for facilitating the session and @lomondtrossachs for lending their nature connection expertise to the meeting. The lived experience and expertise in delivering environmental projects with ethnic minority communities of our SAG members is helping us ensure our work is accessible and relevant to EM groups across Scotland. Our Theory of Change is the framework with which we will base our work across the next 4 years and gives us a solid foundation from which to launch this exciting new initiative. Attendees told us: "Such a thought-provoking discussion...I will be mulling it over for the remainder of the week." "Thanks for an amazing session...it's great to work with such a knowledgeable and passionate group of people- every time I come I feel re-energised." “It’s great to see the care being taken to ensure this piece of work has been thoroughly thought through.” We can't wait for the next one!

They shared ideas and perspectives to help shape Waitaha Canterbury’s Regional Low Emissions Transition Plan - one of the 10 actions in the Canterbury Mayoral Forum’s Climate Partnership Plan. Focused on emissions reduction, the session highlighted the insight, creativity, and leadership of our future generations. It was great to spend time with the Melville City Climate Action Network (MCCAN), a group that cares deeply about climate action and what it means for the next generation. I really valued the chance to talk with Chairperson Jillian and members Peter, Paula, John and Damian. They were pleased to see the impact of our Federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries program, and so am I. Since 1 July 2025, Australians have installed more than 200,000 cheaper home batteries, with Tangney ranked number one in Western Australia for take-up of the program. That’s something our community can be proud of. If you're after more information about how to electrify your home, please reach out to MCCAN or consider attending one of their friendly community workshops.
