I often find during wardrobe audits that people invest more in outfits they’ll wear once or twice to say a wedding but they neglect to invest in things they will wear most days. I love all my practical clothing! Brings me daily joy as opposed to a dress I’ll wear very occasionally. So my advice is always to think about your lifestyle and invest in what you’ll wear the most. And that will be different for everyone as we all have different lifestyles. Very happy to have found some @grensonshoes boots last year almost brand new in time for the snow. It’s so pretty but it was carnage on the roads! Have you got some? [ad: gifted service] It’s been an long term ambition of mine to visit the Grenson factory in Northamptonshire, and I finally got the chance when I was invited to watch a pair of my old boots go through the Grenson Rebuild service. It was fascinating! The skilled team deconstructed my past-it pair, keeping the comfort and patina of the worn-in leather while replacing the soles and giving them some overdue TLC. I’m thrilled with the results and so glad I can keep wearing this supremely comfortable pair of 10 year old boots. 🥾☁️ Find out more information on Grenson Rebuild on the website and in this month’s issue of Slowette. There’s something about that final buff on a stacked leather heel that just feels right. These custom-rebuilt @grensonshoes boots are British through and through. Featuring a double midsole and stacked leather heels of @tws_tannery_uk —tanned in Bristol since 1840—and finished with iconic @dainitestudded soles from Market Harborough. I have done my best to stay true to English shoemaking tradition with these and hopefully I did us proud 😂 Sooo much leather on display with this pair and there’s a fair amount hidden inside too!
