Instead of rushing, I spent weeks on recon — mapping domains, understanding the infrastructure, and learning the tech stack behind the program.
Then I customized my recon tools specifically for this scope to extract deeper, more relevant data.
One domain stood out — heavy functionality, lots of attack surface.
I ignored noisy client-side bugs and focused on server-side logic issues.
While testing with Burp Suite, I uncovered a critical logic flaw that allowed crafted payloads to reach the backend, triggering repeated platform crash of 10–20 minutes.
This wasn’t your typical “out-of-scope” DoS.
It was a logical DoS scenario that demonstrated real business impact on a platform with 500,000+ users.
I reported it responsibly with a clear PoC and impact explanation.
