🪚 "SO DOES YOUR HUSBAND CUT & SAND ALL YOUR WOOD?" 🪚 I get asked this a LOT!! 😂 if you've seen me at a craft fair or you've been following me for a while I'm sure you all know Tom! He's not my husband but we've been together almost 15 years now so he might as well be! People always look at him and say "oh you must be the one who cuts everything out for her" or "so does your husband cut and sand all the wood for you?" And the answer is NO! When I say my work is handmade I really do mean it! I've toyed with the idea of buying a circular saw or an electric sander (I did use an electric one when I first started 8 years ago) but using electric tools isn't for me. Tom did teach me how to use to saw and he was such a fantastic teacher, I'm cutting angles I never thought I could and I sand all my work by hand too. For me it gives me the finish I want in my work and doesn't round off the edges when I want it to sit flat. This way using my hands I'm in control. Here I am spending my Saturday morning hand cutting and sanding my houses all ready to make a BIG harbour piece next week on my freshly collected Cornish driftwood. I can't wait to bring this to life! 🤩 #myhandsatwork #handcut #handtools #handsaw #nomachinery

There are many different kinds this one is a ryoba style from @irwintoolsca some times its also faster than setting up a flush trim bit in a router. This was the case here.
