ADAfter pulling my shades by hand for six months, I finally decided it was time to upgrade to smart blinds. I reached out to @helloryse, and they kindly sent over the SmartShade units along with a SmartBridge to complete the setup.

Installation was surprisingly easy: just unhook the original beaded chain, attach it to the SmartShade module, mount it back onto the wall bracket, set the top and bottom positions, and you’re done.
With the SmartBridge, I was able to set routines to automatically open and close the blinds at specific times, which honestly feels like a small but life changing upgrade. The battery lasts around 6 months and recharges easily with a USB cable.
