مجموعه بیستون شامل چند اثار تاریخی هست که شامل :
فرهاد تراش : بهطور مشخص، فرهاد تراش در مجموعه تاریخی بیستون با سنگنگاره بیستون ارتباط دارد. بر اساس برخی از منابع تاریخی و افسانهای، فرهاد بهعنوان کسی که دستور داده شده تا در دل کوه بیستون کانالی برای آب بسازد، به یکی از نمادهای صبر و تلاش تبدیل شده است.
در این افسانهها گفته میشود که فرهاد بهعنوان یک سنگتراش، سالها برای کندن این کانال در دل کوه کار کرد تا آب را از دامنه کوه به شیرین برساند. این اثر نمادی از تلاشهای سخت و طاقتفرسای انسانی است
کتیبه داریوش : به فرمان داریوش اول (داریوش بزرگ) پادشاه هخامنشی در حدود سال ۵۲۰ پیش از میلاد در دیواره کوه بیستون حک شده است. این کتیبه بهعنوان یکی از برجستهترین نمونههای سنگنگارههای هخامنشی در ایران شناخته میشود و اهمیت زیادی در تاریخشناسی دارد.
کتیبه داریوش بهطور خاص درباره پیروزیهای داریوش اول بر شورشیان مختلف که علیه سلطنت او قیام کرده بودند، سخن میگوید. این کتیبه به سه زبان مختلف نوشته شده است:
•فارسی باستان
•عیلامی• بابلی
کتیبه داریوش اول داستان شکست و سرکوب پنج شورشی اصلی را روایت میکند که علیه او قیام کرده بودند. این شورشیان در نقاط مختلف امپراطوری هخامنشی از جمله در ایران، مصر، ماد و بابل فعالیت داشتند
کاروانسرای صفوی :
این کاروانسرا مربوط به دوره صفوی و بهویژه در زمان شاه عباس اول است. کاروانسراها در دوره صفوی نقشی کلیدی در تسهیل ارتباطات و حملونقل در مسیرهای تجاری و مسافرتی ایران ایفا میکردند.
مجسمه هرکول :
مجسمه بهصورت نیمتنه، از سنگ تراشیده شده و ویژگیهای مشخصی از هرکول در آن نمایان است. مانند عضلات برجسته بدن، سر بزرگ و صورت قوی که ویژگیهای اسطورهای هرکول را به نمایش میگذارد.
برخی از تزئینات در مجسمه اشاره به ویژگیهای فرهنگی و هنری ایرانی و یونانی دارد، که نشاندهندهی تعامل میان دو فرهنگ در آن دوران است.
