I'm adding this project file to the bundle at no additional charge :) *One tide forms towards the side of the moon because of the gravitational pull of the moon. A second tide forms on the opposite side of the planet due to the centrifugal force of the earth and moon spinning around their combined center of mass called the barycentre. This is why high tides occur every ~12 hours. Nazim Shaikh @nazimaquaman is a Jal JivRakshak (lifeguard), and a familiar face near the Gateway of India during high tides. I’ve seen him there many times, quietly standing near the promenade. Today, I finally spoke to him and what he shared moved me deeply. He said, “God has given me the ability to save lives, so I come here to help during high tides.” Nazim does this purely out of goodwill. For decades, he has been risking his own life to save others, working alongside the authorities during emergencies and public events. Heroes like him often go unnoticed, but their silent courage speaks volumes. In this video, he is practicing which is his daily routine. He will jump once or twice into the sea during the high tides just to keep his body agile.

On Earth, the Moon's gravitational pull causes the oceans to bulge out on both the side closest to the Moon and the side farthest from the Moon. These bulges of water are high tides. As the Earth rotates, your region of Earth passes through both of these bulges each day. When you're in one of the bulges, you experience a high tide. When you're not in one of the bulges, you experience a low tide. This cycle of two high tides and two low tides occurs most days on most of the coastlines of the world.
