It is about optimising the kinetic and kinematic chain, improving safety through neurological stimulus and loading effectively. Then seeing where and how the body reacts to load and following the bread crumbs. Alot of the work isnt literal, its subjective and objective but ALWAYS consistent. And we arrive at an outcome. Most people think tight hip flexors are the problem… but that’s not usually the case 👀 Your hip flexors often feel tight because they’re actually weak and overworking. When a muscle lacks strength, it can’t handle load efficiently → so it stays “on” longer, creating that stiff, tight sensation. 👉 Weak hip flexors = poor support for your pelvis 👉 Other muscles compensate (hello lower back & quads) 👉 Result = discomfort, restriction, and recurring pain Stretching might give temporary relief… But building strength is what creates lasting change 💪 If your hip flexors keep flaring up, it’s time to stop only stretching and start strengthening. Please stop making these mistakes people…. 1.Blaming it all on anterior pelvic tilt and spending your time stretching to fix it. 2.Blaming it on stiff hips and spending all your time doing 90/90s and hip mobility drills into internal rotation. 3.Expecting to resolve it by only doing stretches, including hammering the hip flexors. 4.Expecting to find the answer to this quite complex hip issue on someone’s Reels or TikToks. 5.Spending too much time treating someone’s FAI and not enough time treating the person who is suffering with pain. 6.Expecting too much too soon when trying to manage FAI without surgery. 7.Jumping to surgery too soon without fully understanding if it truly is FAI and whether you have genuinely tried enough physio first. FAI is rarely about one tight muscle, one mobility drill, or one quick fix. It is about load management, strength, movement tolerance, patience, and individualised rehab. If you oversimplify it, you usually prolong it. If you rush it, you often regret it. What’s has your experience been?
