So simple yet so many miss this👇 Building elite ability in their ankles & hips to help your knee issues! Comment „routine“ for my full follow along routine with more exercises, regressions, progressions etc. so you can make the most out of it! Why this helps your knee? Because force that is already absorbed/dealt with properly at your ankle protects your knee from working over time. Ankle sprains and a lack of dorsiflexion are often linked to later knee joint issues for a reason! Hip mobility helps because mobility doesn’t just mean getting more flexible, but actually being able to access extreme ranges safely, because you’ve built up the tissue length and strength! This means that we’re not only gonna move so much more freely and have less friction and pulling on our knee joint but now certain awkward positions/landings we get into when playing are less likely to cause our tissues any serious damage! Why I mix balance with mobility work (especially when it comes to hips): Balance challenges your feet to properly interact with the ground to stabilize you. When the feet can properly interact with the ground, hip mobility can be fully expressed. For the hips to internally rotate, the foot needs to be able to pronate (foot arch drops). For the hips to externally rotate, the foot needs to be able to supinate (foot arch is higher). Balance + mobility helps address the full picture for long term results #hipmobility #mobility #athlete #triathlon #personaltrainer
