New Experiment 🕵️‍♂️: Faster Plant Grow and Less Algae. Will it work? Wave Maker I recommend and I am using in this video: Hygger Wave Maker HG218 (link in the comment or below) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FKBM6Q6D?th=1 What is my mindset with this experiment: In this planted tank, I add CO₂ to help my plants grow better. The CO₂ goes into the filter plumbing, so it mixes with the water before coming back into the aquarium. To make sure that CO₂ doesn’t stay in just one area, I added a wavemaker right next to where the water comes out. When the water flows back in, the wavemaker helps push that CO₂-rich water around the whole tank. This way, all the plants get access to CO₂, not just the ones close to the filter, which leads to healthier and more even growth. I will share results in a couple weeks.

Those who know me well, know how honest I am with my product reviews. Here's my honest thoughts on this Hygger HG042 Wavemaker. In a nutshell... it's literally brilliant. I love it. It's super easy to use, even if it does look confusing at first sight, and it's ridiculously quiet. So quiet infact I've found myself checking if it's still on 🤦 With several modes to adjust to your preferred wave style and strength, it also has the ability to automatically change mode when the light goes out. There's plenty to adjust and dabble with but ultimately, as a Wavemaker, it does a super super job. I've read many reviews reporting it's 'too powerful ' but I certainly do not agree with that opinion. I've placed mine in a 90lt Superfish Scaper and it's working fantastically. I'm now running 2 Hygger Wavemakers in my tanks and I'm chuffed with both. I'll definitely be posting updates on these over the coming months. The installation took less than 5 minutes and the unit seems to have great power in my 75 gallon! I also really like the low profile of the Wave Maker and how it allows for more swimming space for my guys compared to other Wave Makers currently on the market.
