✨When you begin to hyper focus on your anxiety symptoms ✨ Anyone else resonate with this one? ✨ Today I wanted to focus on a spiral I know all too well, the anxiety - hyper fixating of symptoms - more anxiety - more fixation spiral. If you experience anxiety, you know that this spiral can be terrifying. It can begin creating more and more anxiety and panic to the point where it seems like the loop is running on autopilot. You may be wondering - how can I break free of this loop? The first step is recognizing this loop is happening. Sometimes it can become such a default it may be running without us even having awareness of it. Next you’ll want to begin to recognize what thoughts/feelings are you having in this moment. Was it a particular thing or thought that caused your mind to kickstart this loop? Or did it seemingly come out of nowhere? Both are valid, its simply important to bring more awareness around this! Next, ground yourself in these moments. When we begin to hyperfixate on how we’re feeling, we’re drawn further and further away from the present moment. Maybe its cold water, a breathing technique, sound candy, anything that helps you to come back into this moment. When you’re back in the present, its about shifting that focus. Not pushing anxiety away, but allowing it to be present without feeding it. This is a practiced skill, but when we learn to acknowledge without feeling the beast, the beast becomes less ‘beastly’ and passes more efficiently 💕 You are so much more capable than anxiety tries to make you believe 💕 If this resonated with you - consider sharing it with your community to help others who may be experiencing hyper fixation of anxiety or save it as a reminder for yourself 💕 For more anxiety support and education, follow @healingtheanxiousmind #anxietysymptoms #severeanxiety #chronicanxiety #anxietyspiral #overthinkingspiral #overwhelmed #hyperfixation #hyperarousal #hyperaware #mentalhealthishealth #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthawareness #stopthestigma #mentalhealthstigma #anxietyjourney #healingjourney #anxietysupport #mentalhealthcommunity #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthsupport

1. Puberty is not a spectator sport. It is not group discussion, a joke, or a teaching moment for relatives. During puberty kids are losing control, hyperaware of being evaluated. When adults comment, it lands as exposure, not care. Try modeling that boundaries are normal instead & redirect relatives instead of freezing. 2. “They’re on their phone” is not a moral failure. Teens need predictability *more* during chaotic seasons. Set your personal option aside and consider that phone use is a regulating tool especially in crowded settings. 3. A teen leaving the room is likely coping, not being rude. Family gatherings are sensory overload - the shared spaces, smells, sounds, holiday cheer-y is well intentioned but for those more sensitive it can be too much— plan accordingly with walks, designated quiet spaces, and take breaks to notice your own needs. 4. Sleep is not laziness during winter break— it’s recovery. “But they’re sleeping until noon!” My response: “Ok, and what’s their usual wake up routine during the school year?” Many teens sleep less than recommended during the school year. Later bedtimes collide with early school mornings and shorten overall sleep. When a busy schedule comes to a screeching halt, of course routines will shift. When the pressures of final exams and stressors pause temporarily, of course you need to recharge. Stable, adequate sleep patterns are ideal, but not always realistic. 5. Teen sarcasm is often connection, not disrespect. Sarcasm is a safer emotional language than plain language. It’s humor and social currency. Adults, match the lightness! Sarcasm tests closeness andis engagement without risking embarrassment. Go with it. It’s an invitation. Connection beats correction. 📍Based in Minnesota, I work with perfectionists living in MN or WI. I’m accepting new clients. The neurodivergent experience is being so hyper-aware of your own behavior that you accidentally become a full-time human lie detector. Like, I was just trying to make sure I wasn’t being weird, but now I can’t unsee the way people’s micro-expressions scream louder than their words. The hidden eye-roll. The fake laugh that doesn’t reach their eyes. The sigh that wasn’t really about being tired. The way the energy shifts when someone enters or leaves a room. & don’t even get me started on that one tone of voice, the "I’m joking" that clearly wasn’t a joke. The "it’s fine" that means literally anything but fine. The passive-aggressive "no worries" that is, in fact, FULL of worry. It’s like living with subtitles on in real life, except nobody else seems to be watching the same movie. & the worst part? Not being able to turn it off. Because once you start noticing, you can’t stop. You feel the tension before anyone acknowledges it. You know when someone doesn’t actually like you, even if they’re "nice." You clock every tiny shift in tone, body language, & energy like a detective in a show nobody asked you to be in. & then you have to sit there, pretending you don’t see it all. Anyone else? Or am I just out here playing 4D chess while everyone else is vibing? #HyperAware #SociallyAwkward #ActuallyAutistic #Neurodivergent #ADHD

Could it be that beneath the surface of “I don’t need anyone and can do it all myself!” lies a fear of trusting others due to past disappointments and hurt? This may lead to hyper-independence, where you struggle to let others in to avoid feeling rejection. Despite appearing high-functioning, deep down, you crave acknowledgment and connection. This internal conflict may contribute to high-functioning anxiety. It’s important to explore these feelings and allow yourself to break free from this cycle. I go through this in my book. Remember there’s another way. 🙏🏼🤍✨ You can order my book now and as a thank you I will send you a pre bonus gift (all the details in the link in my bio) 🙏🏼✨ Keep shining ✨ Dr. Lalitaa #drlalitaa #hyperindependence #hyperaware #traumahealing #traumahealing #traumaresponse #traumarelease #traumaawareness #highfunctioninganxiety #highfunctioning #hyperindependentwomen #highfunctioningautism #highfunctioningdepression #sadnessandsorrow #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #sadness😔 #lonelinessthoughts✨

The constant fear of being in trouble is the mind’s way of trying to keep us safe. Maybe we learned to be hyperaware of being seen as “good” from an early age as a way to prevent conflict or criticism. Sometimes the fear is necessary and actually does protect us, and sometimes it’s not needed. May we have the ability to distinguish the two, and the awareness to know when we’re actually safe 🕯☁️

Did you know that many empaths and highly sensitive people often have a history of child trauma, or childhoods that caused them to always have to be on high alert? An example of this could be, having to walk on egg shells, or constantly being tapped into your parents emotions, because you didn’t know if they were going to be in a good mood, or bad mood from one day to the next? It’s highly likely that having to be hyperaware of your surroundings as a child resulted in you being able to tap into the energies around you. Don’t let others gas light you. Your experience is real, and valid. A psychiatrist named Judith Orlaff and many other doctors speak about this phenomenon. There are many tips, tricks, and tools you can use while navigating the world as a sensitive person. I would highly recommend you take the time look into the energies that trigger you the most, as they are clear signs of things you may need further healing on. The universe is one giant mirror, take to to understand what your seeing ❤️ I’d love to hear some tips you may use to protect, or cleanse your energy below 👇 You are made of light. The number one mistake sensorimotor, aka somatic ocd, hyperawareness, sufferers make is this - trying to prove to themselves why it’s okay to breath/ notice their sensations! - Everyone has these! *correct: But you’re trying to prove to yourself why it’s okay to notice them, but that’s not why you’re stuck!* - This is the opposite of acceptance. - You’re stuck because of this fear “if I notice this for the rest of my life my life is ruined!!” #ocd #ocdawareness #ocdrecovery #sensorimotor #hyperaware #hyperawareness #tinnitus #breathingocd #breathing #somaticocd #blinking #reassurance #rumination #ruminate #depression #cbt #cognitivebehavioraltherapy #fear #psychology #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealth #mentalillness #anxiety #anxious #anxietyawareness #panicattack #panicattacks #panicdisorder

Empath Life Ain’t No Joke I know you’re here because you already know you’re an empath. Me and my new wig are giving you 3 ways to confirm what you already know to be true. Hyper Awareness in Crowded Spaces: Many empaths pay close attention to details. Some may even scan the room to identify where certain energies are coming from. Finding Ways to Cope with Sensory Overload: This looks different for each empath, but the absorption of energy commands that we do something with it. Sometimes I sing or make noise to get the energy out. The Come Down Leaves You Feeling Tired and Drained: Social Battery is on 0%. When there’s too much going on in one space, it can be overwhelming, so the body goes into sleep mode. What We Can Do: There are so many things we can do to protect our energy and well-being while enjoying being with those we love and care about. White Light of Protection: Imagining a dazzling white light coming from your heart center and slowly expanding to your entire body. Remind yourself often that you are safe in all spaces. Body Tension Checks: Check in with yourself during all phases of the experience. Explore for any tension in the body, where it’s being carried, and release the energy. Get Some Fresh Air: Never be afraid to isolate just to get your bearings. Taking a breather gives you time to calm the nervous system and focus on the positive aspects of the experience. Did I miss any other tell tale signs of an empath afoot? Learn the tools to better manage your gift of empathy. When you’re a nice person or very emotionally aware, nothing feels more unsettling than thinking someone might be upset with you. Your brain instantly goes into overdrive: “Are they mad at me? Did I do something wrong? How can I fix this?” That knot in your stomach can take over your whole day, pulling your energy and focus into trying to smooth things over before anything even happens. The hard part is how consuming it becomes. Instead of being present with your own needs, your nervous system stays locked onto someone else’s mood, scanning for signs and searching for ways to make them feel better. By the end of the day, you feel drained, exhausted, and disconnected from yourself, all because you were working overtime to manage emotions that may not even be about you. Here’s the truth: people are allowed to have negative feelings. They are allowed to be in a bad mood, stressed, or even frustrated and it does not always mean it is about you. Other people are capable of caring for themselves, and it is not your responsibility to fix every dip in the emotional weather around you. When you release that responsibility, you get your energy back and you start building trust in yourself, not just in keeping everyone else happy. If this feels like your struggle, I would love to coach you. I have the tools to help you stop overthinking, reclaim your energy, and finally feel at peace in your relationships. . . . . . . #nicegirl #kindperson #overthinker #hypervigilance #hypervigilant #alwaysaware #emotionallydrained #emotionallyattuned #peoplepleaser #peoplepleasing #healthyrelationships #peoplepleasernomore #enmeshment #emotionalcaretaking #hyperaware #fawning #cameleon #morph
