1) Why does Allah seem to allow war and bombing?
In Islamic thought, this question is often discussed through a few key ideas:
a) Life on earth is a test (trial)
Islam teaches that this world is not meant to be paradise. Hardship, fear, loss, and conflict can be part of a test that reveals what people choose to do: act with justice and mercy, or commit oppression.
b) Human choice and responsibility (free will)
Many wars happen because of human decisions: greed, fear, revenge, politics, propaganda, and power. Islam places moral responsibility on people. Allah giving humans choice means humans can do evil, and they are accountable for it.
c) Allah’s justice is not always immediate in this world
In Islam, the final and complete justice is not guaranteed to appear right away in this life. The Day of Judgment (Akhirah) is where ultimate accountability happens. So a wrongdoer might look like they “got away with it” temporarily, but they will still face judgment.
d) “Allowed” does not mean “approved”
Islam strongly condemns ظلم (zulm, oppression) and unjust killing. So the existence of war is not proof that Allah loves it or supports it. It can exist as part of the reality of human freedom and the world’s nature as a test.
