3️⃣ Impressive Questions to Ask During any Job Interview 3️⃣ Why is the position open? If it’s new, ask them why. Did they get new clients or a new project? Or perhaps the incumbent got promoted, then ask them what that person did so well. 2️⃣ Aside from technical skills and the job description, what are some soft skills that would make someone successful in this position? 1️⃣ What are some projects that you’re currently working on? 📌PRO TIP, Don’t wait till the end of the interview to ask questions. Ask questions throughout the interview. It will feel more conversational and you will look prepared and interested. The interview mistake most candidates make at the very end! 🚩 You've answered all their questions brilliantly. The interview is wrapping up. But if you walk out without explicitly stating why you want THIS job and why you're the perfect fit, you've missed a crucial opportunity ❌ Many candidates assume: • Their enthusiasm is obvious • Their qualifications speak for themselves • The interviewer already knows why they're a match But leaving these things unsaid is a huge risk! The final moments of an interview create a lasting impression. Before leaving, make sure to clearly articulate: • Why this specific role and company excite you • How your experience directly addresses their needs • Your enthusiasm for the opportunity to contribute This simple strategy ensures you leave the interviewer with clarity about your interest and fit - exactly what they need to advocate for you in hiring discussions 🌟 Comment "ELITE" below for more interview techniques that get results! 💼 #executiverecruiter #eliterecruiter #jobmarket2025 #profoliosai #resume #jobstrategy #interviewtips #jobsearch #interviewtechniques #careeradvice #jobinterviews #hiringprocess #interviewprep #interviewskills #jobhunting #interviewquestions #careergrowth #jobseekers #interviewsuccess #professionaladvice

You should be able to answer these 5 standard interview questions ahead of your next job interview but if you can’t, bookmark this video and record yourself answering these questions. The fastest way to get better at interviewing is to practice.   5 Standard Interview Questions everyone should know the answer to   1-    Tell me about yourself.   *A great formula to follow is past, present and future. Tell them what you went to college for, why you do what you do, what you are doing in your current job that qualifies you for this position and future is that you see yourself in this organization where you are interviewing.   2-    What are your strengths and weaknesses?   *Strengths are easy and obvious, but weaknesses can be harder to come up with. Remember a good rule of thumb is to share a weakness that is true for you and can be construed into a strength. Here are some great weaknesses to give, “I have a hard time delegating” “I am impatient” “I am very detail oriented and can lose sight of the big picture” “I have a hard time asking for help”   3-    Why do you want to work here?   *Do not tell them all the things you like about the company or all the things the company can do for them. Tell them how you can help the company achieve it’s goals.   4-    Where do you see yourself in 5 years? The only right answer is “I see myself at this organization.” Do not tell them you want to get married and have kids or go to grad school.   5-    Why should we hire you?   *Do not reiterate your strengths. Instead think about what makes you unique. What makes you different than the competition because the question is, why should we hire YOU. They want to know what makes you YOU.   For more interview questions to practice and tips on how to make a great impression in a job interview, get an Interviewology Profile   #howtoanswerinterviewquestions #jobinterview #career #job #howtogetanewjob #howtofindajob #Corporatejobs #interviewpreparation #careeradvice

@advicewitherin 😅 Why are the simplest questions often the hardest to answer!? [Comment or DM “INTERVIEW101” for resources!] Ugh, I hate how this question is low-key lazy. Like isn’t the whole interview about why you should hire me? Of course, my positive side is saying, “no, this is a great opportunity to give your elevator pitch + set the tone of the interview!” That’s why I developed this 3-part method for answering this question: 1. Hard Skills (technical aspects of the job you know how to do—softwares, processes, systems, certifications, trainings, education, etc.) 2. Soft Skills (personality, character & interpersonal strengths—proactive, collaborative, organized, leadership, etc.) 3. Unique Offering (what do YOU bring to the table that no one else does? This can be a great way to spin not directly-relevant past experience as a strength) ‼️ But the MOST important thing? Repeat the job description back to them. 👨🏻‍💻 ESPECIALLY if you’re interviewing with a recruiter (as opposed to someone from your future department). ✔️ Recruiters aren’t experts in what you do, so they listen for keywords to check boxes The job description is a roadmap! Use it to design your answers. You got this! 👏🏼 #job #jobinterview #intern #interviewtips

Pretend like I am interviewing you and pause the video and practice your answer. It’s even better if you record yourself and watch it back. The more you do it, the better you get.

❌A big mistake people make when preparing for interviews is they never practice. They think about their answers, and they might even write them down, but they never practice getting it out of their head.

Also, whatever you do, DO NOT write a script. Inevitably you will not remember it word for word and it will throw you off. It is better to practice so you can answer questions organically and not try to recite a script.

This is the smartest question you can ask in any job interview is this? Comment “Watch” and I’ll personally DM you our conversation. Charlie Houpert shares a trick for interviews. When they ask, “Do you have any questions?”, he suggests asking: “If I got the job and it’s a year from now, what would I have needed to accomplish for you to feel this was the right decision?” What’s the best question you’ve ever asked in an interview? So what is it so you don’t find yourself “not successful” again? This is the 3 point check and it’s how I prepare my students and clients to show up with confidence: 1️⃣ Do your homework! Research the company, the role, and the people interviewing you. Understand their mission, values, and what they actually do so you can speak their language. Bonus points for learning where their business name came from 😉 2️⃣ Have your stories ready. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure examples of times you’ve solved problems, worked under pressure, or achieved something you’re proud of. This turns vague answers into memorable ones. If you’re a student with no real work experience, take an example from school. Maybe it was a tough team project gone wrong - use it! 3️⃣ Own the room. 📸 Confident body language is non-negotiable. Sit tall, maintain steady eye contact with each interviewer, and treat it like a conversation, not an interrogation. These are just a few of the skills I teach in School of Life workshops and in my online video library, from how to make a strong first impression to navigating workplace etiquette. Want to make sure you (or your students) are interview ready? Email michelle@schooloflife.ie or head to the link in my bio to book a workshop or purchase the full online library today.

@advicewitherin 🤯 One of my best pieces of job interview advice is to think about every question backwards. Don’t think “hmm, what is my answer to this question…” Instead think “what answer do they want to hear and how do I fit into that?” “Tell me about yourself?” ❌ Don’t tell them about yourself. ✅ Tell them about you, their next favorite hire. “Why do you want to work here?” ❌ Don’t talk about how you heard it pays well and will look good on your resume ✅ Tell them about how you want to contribute value to a company you believe in. “Tell me about a time when…?” ❌ don’t ramble about some half baked memory you have. ✅ tell them about your character and how you behave in difficult situations Always answer the question behind the question 🧐 keep it positive, keep it forward, keep it you. There’s only one you! ☀️ You got this! 👏🏼 #jobsearch #jobinterview
