Method Overloading happens when multiple methods have the same name but different parameters within the same class. class Calculator { int add(int a, int b){ return a + b; } int add(int a, int b, int c){ return a + b + c; } } Here the method name is the same (add), but the parameters are different. This is called compile-time polymorphism. Java’s method dispatching rules change depending on whether you are dealing with Static or Dynamic binding. Let’s test your logic! 🚨 THE TRUTH REVEALED: ✅ Q1: Dynamic Method Dispatch Answer: B (B). In method overriding, the call is determined by the actual object (new B()) at runtime. Even though the reference is type A, the object is B, so B wins. This is Runtime Polymorphism. ✅ Q2: The Most Specific Rule Answer: B (Str). This is a classic trick! When overloading methods with Object and String, and you pass null, Java always chooses the most specific type in the hierarchy.
