These short GCT exercises are nothing special. They are fundamental exercises of any plyometric programme. However, I find that traceurs rarely do them compared to the time they spend training "muscle jumps" (I've just coined this term, but hopefully you understand). A lot of parkour movements are more demanding on the knee joint, hence the muscles surround it are the training focus for the most athletes. This is the exact reason why I think most will benefit from some Ankle work, and short GCTs are doing just that.
