THMONTH 28.
From the outside, it probably looks like I’m head down, doing the work, and immune to all the unpleasant feelings that show up along this journey.
That’s far from the truth. There’s a lot of doubt. There are a lot of tears. There are days I look at dancers I admire — people who’ve been doing this for 20+ years — and I wonder if starting late means I’ll never catch up. If there’s enough time. If what I’m trying to do is impossible.
I’m not immune to any of that. But the work isn’t the absence of doubt. The work is choosing self-belief in the presence of it.
Self-belief isn’t confidence. It’s not a feeling we wait to show up. It’s a decision we practice, again and again, esp when certainty isn’t there.
So yeah… Feeling it all doesn’t mean stopping. We just gonna keep outworking that doubt, okaaaay! 🛠️🛠️🛠️
