HEMeet adoptable Julia Knitel 💛 a 23 lb female Chihuahua mix who is happiest as your lap companion. She adjusts to her people quickly, loves meeting new folks, and while she prefers pets from her person first, she makes fast friends after a little treat trade. She is dog friendly too, mostly interested in polite sniffs over full on play.
Julia went out for a day trip to meet our friend @parkdoggos and loved meeting her new bestie while getting some glamour shots. She is inquisitive and smart, with plenty of pep when it is time to go outside for some park time (watch her talk to her new friend!), but also loves to chill when it is time to relax. With some practice at home, she settles, and a previous foster shared she typically relaxes after about 15 minutes. She loves to “talk” and is full of personality. We love a gal that will tell ya what she wants!

HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY FABULOUS FABBE 🎂🎉💝🥳

➡️ Did you know that Fabbe is our first XL goldendoodle? ❤️ He’d come back to his breeder as the child in his first home got a severe allergic reaction and Eva (his human Mom) contacted us and asked if we were interested 🥰 It was a spur of the moment decision (it’s us after all lol 😅) but we went out to visit him and fell head over heels in love 😍 We were sitting in the car and singing songs to calm him down on the way home and when we sang the childrens song “Pirate Fabbe” (Sjörövar Fabbe 🏴☠️) he fell asleep 😴 And that was that, he was our darling baby Fabbe! We knew from the get-go that he was a very special dog 🥹 We’ve been through so much together and we can’t imagine life without our darling doodle bear 🐻 Its thanks to him (and Nisse, Pippi & Ronja) that we moved to the Fairytale Cottage and started our new life here on the island 🏝️ Today Fabbe is the father of 31 very loved doggos and he has sooo many amazing grandpups (and now even several great grandpups 🧸). He’s also the reason we started our little Instagram account 🩷

ACDid you know you can take a shelter dog on a day trip? It is a great way to give dogs a much needed break. Whether you want to lounge on the couch and watch a movie or go on a long walk in the park, any shelter dog would love to come along for the ride ❤️
Sweet girl Yaya was lucky enough to get selected up for a day trip by some amazing volunteers! She spent the afternoon going on a long walk and having an impromptu photo shoot (which will greatly increase her chances of being adopted!)
Yaya came to the shelter as a stray and sadly not much is known about her background. While she’s very scared, she’s also incredibly sweet and loves ear pets. She did meet another dog at the shelter and was nervous but did well. She’d probably do best in a quiet home with a laid back pup friend.

MAHe’s big, he’s beautiful and he could be all yours!!! Meet Jersey! He’s what big dog dreams are made of. A gentle giant with a heart of gold. He thinks he’s the world’s largest lapdog and he hasn’t met a canine buddy he didn’t love yet. Seriously this boy is fantastic! And did we mention how incredibly handsome he is? You won’t find a better looking dog and with all his other attributes what are you waiting for? Jersey is ready to go home with you!
Jersey spent over 2 months in the shelter with no adoption interest. Such a good dog and not one person wanted to adopt him. Proof that our shelters are inundated and even the really great dogs are at risk. But we saw how amazing Jersey was and with an open and willing foster home Jersey got the break he needed. He’s never looked back and has quickly embraced foster life and every new human and canine friend he’s met along the way.
Jersey loves other dogs and has a fun rough and rowdy play style. He’s a big guy so would be best paired with medium or large dogs who enjoy rough and rowdy play. He’d do best in a home that has room for him to roam and patrol and with at least one other dog he can pal around with. He’s so social he really needs to have a dog buddy or two. He’s crate trained, good on leash and loves every human he’s met. He’s extremely affectionate and just an all around good boy. If you’re looking for a big, beautiful bestest boy ever then Jersey is going to be the perfect dog for you!
