_FOne of the questions I get asked the most is which string libraries I use – and I totally get why. Creating a realistic string mockup is a real challenge: it takes months, even years, to truly master it and achieve convincing results.
This is the combo of libraries I currently use together, because when combined they always give me a very cinematic sound. Of course, each of these libraries has its pros and cons, and that’s exactly why blending them helps balance everything out.
For example, Cinematic Studio Strings is extremely useful for detail and its beautiful legato, while Benjamin Wallfisch Strings gives you that sense of size and wide, cinematic sound.
What I always suggest is to keep experimenting. This is my current string palette – it wasn’t the same years ago, and it will probably keep evolving over time.
Try, experiment, study. There’s no other way.

ASBooks that quietly reflect the Fruit of the Spirit.
Stories that show what patience, kindness, gentleness, and love look like — not just tell about them.
When I started filling our shelves with these kinds of stories, a few things changed in our home:
🌿 Our read-alouds became heart-shaping moments.
Instead of just entertainment, stories began opening gentle conversations about character, choices, and waiting well.
💛 My kids began noticing what patience actually looks like in everyday life.
When a character waited, worked hard, or trusted the process, they saw it — and connected it to what we talk about in Scripture.
📚 And I started to see how God uses beautiful, ordinary books to shape extraordinary little hearts.
We don’t need every story to be labeled “Christian” for it to point back to truth.
This week, we’re focusing on patience as part of our Fruit of the Spirit study, and I’ve been reminded how many lovely children’s books quietly model that virtue.
Ox-Cart Man shows the beauty of slow, steady work — a family patiently tending, creating, and waiting for the right season to sell and begin again. It’s a picture of simple faithfulness and contentment in the rhythm of the year.
And The Coat for Anna tells of patience born from love — a mother and daughter slowly gathering, trading, and waiting through each step of making something beautiful from what they have. It’s such a gentle reminder that waiting can be holy work.
These kinds of stories linger in little hearts.
They teach that patience isn’t just about waiting — it’s about trusting, persevering, and finding joy in the process.
As Christian moms, we can draw those truths out as we read together:
✨ “See how they kept going even when it took a long time?”
✨ “That reminds me of how the Bible says patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit.”
There’s so much wisdom to be found in stories — if we slow down long enough to notice.

STTake a look at this big book of birds! 🐦⬛
Today we’re sharing one of the BIGGEST books in our collection – so big, that it requires TWO people to turn the pages. The technical term for a book of this size is a double elephant folio. 🐘
‘Birds of America’ by John Audubon was published in parts between 1827 to 1838. It contains 435 hand-coloured engravings of North American birds. They’re also life sized, meaning they are drawn to scale.
The Library’s 4 volumes were purchased in 1885 for £260, which is around $44,000 in today’s money, making it a bargain buy considering its value today!
Of course, Australia is home to some beautiful birds as well. Right now you can see #TheBirdsOfAustralia exhibition on display at the @australianmuseum!
