All of my PDF Patterns come with a correctly sized pattern template to trace🖊️ 2️⃣ Tape your pattern to your lightpad. Don’t have a lightpad? No problem, you can use a window!! Do you want a lightpad? You can find this one linked in my ‘fave things’ highlight on my profile!✨ 3️⃣ Trace with a heat erasable pilot frixion pen And voila, you’re done! How do you write on a straight line? 1️⃣ Freehand (no guidelines) Best for: on-site high-volume work where fast speed is needed. Riskiest method, requires experience and confidence 2️⃣ Laser liner Best for: in-studio work where only one line is enough (unless you have a fancy laser liner with multiple lines). Portable, fast to setup, but there is a safety concern (nobody can look into the laser beam) 3️⃣ Light pad (or light table) Best for: in-studio work on white paper. Requires an electricity source 4️⃣ Shadow table Best for: in-studio work on dark paper or thicker foil. Works even in the cases where the light box doesn’t work. Requires a light source (I got mine from @igorschineider) 5️⃣ Light pencil lines that are easy to erase Best for: engraving (lines are easy to clean afterwards) and on-site work on paper, when time allows 6️⃣ Slightly transparent paper on top of guidelines Best for: when the paper is not too thick — usually calligraphy practice, and not final work on cards, as card paper is thicker 📥 Save for easy reference later Did you know all these methods?
