Race week is almost here! 🏃🏻‍♀️🥳 With under 2 weeks to go until LLHM 2025, here are some final tips from our training partner @coopahruncoach to help you feel ready during race week: ✅ Stick to what you know – Now isn’t the time to try new foods or nutrition. Eat what worked during training and trust your routine. 🏃🏻‍♂️ Trust the taper – Resist the urge for last-minute long runs. Your body needs rest to feel fresh on race day so rest and relax. 💧 Hydration is key – Keep drinking water in the days leading up to the race. Adding electrolytes can help replenish lost minerals. 🎯 Remember your why – Whether you’re running for charity, a PB, or the challenge, hold onto that motivation when it gets tough. 🏅 Be proud – The training, dedication, and fundraising have brought you here—race day is a celebration of all you’ve achieved! Increase your carbohydrate intake with familiar foods a few days before the race but try not to overeat on dinner the night before. 2️⃣ Don’t wear or try anything new on race day. Whether that’s your running kit, hydration vest or gels… stick to what your familiar with. 3️⃣ Know the starting location and your wave ahead of race day and aim to get there an hour before. 4️⃣ Pace yourself. It’s so easy to get caught up in the atmosphere but focus on running at your training pace to avoid fatiguing too soon. 5️⃣ It’s okay to walk some parts if you have too. It doesn’t make you any less of a runner. 6️⃣ Share your bib number with your loved ones so they can cheer you on. 7️⃣ On bibs, don’t forget your safety pins. 8️⃣ Remember it’s YOUR race. Be proud of yourself of how far you’ve come. The truth is we never really know how a race is going to go but you can 10000% do it no matter what race day conditions bring you 🙏 What have I missed?
