Christal Luster is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur and author. Her video series, “9 Things I Wish I Knew As A Christian Bride” went viral due to her transparency and honesty pertaining to her personal experiences through marriage and divorce. Offering advice to those who may be in a similar space Luster once was, she emphasizes the importance of acknowledging red flags, remaining faithful, and trusting God through it all in her videos. With faith at the center of her journey, Luster chooses to prioritize her relationship with God. Growing up, Luster knew she was meant to be a wife and that was something she longed for. Although she witnessed her parents’ long lasting marriage, she did not truly know what that meant. Realizing she was in a space where everything in her life needed to be perfect and glorifying God, she later realized that what she yearned for was much more than just checking off boxes. Through unhappiness and realizing that things were not working, Luster had to lean into her faith walk and ask God what her next step was. With the help of both therapy and prayer, she was led to accept who God called her to be as a person.
