Giving our Robot EYES! 👁️🤖 We’ve made our robot blink, click, and sing... but today, it officially starts to SEE! In this lesson, we’re swapping the manual button for a Photoresistor (LDR). Think of it as the robot’s retina. Unlike a button that is just "ON" or "OFF," the LDR feels a whole range of light. What’s happening inside: ⚡ The LDR: Changes electricity flow based on brightness. 🔢 Analog Pin A0: Reads a "Spectrum" of numbers (0–1023) instead of just 0 or 1. 🌙 The Logic: When the light level drops, the Arduino makes an autonomous decision to turn the LED on! This is exactly how the streetlights in your neighborhood know when to turn on at dinner time. 🏠✨ Next Lesson: We’re adding Distance Sensors so the robot can walk without bumping into walls! 🧱 #KidsRobotics #ArduinoTeacher #STEMEducation #LDRSensor #CodingForKids
