Sometimes you’ll see me in tears… and it’s never about the money.
It’s about the safety of the dog.
When a dog is extremely matted, it’s more than just “hair.” That matting tightens over time. It pulls at their skin. It restricts blood flow. It makes it painful to walk. Toenails grow into the pads. Mats form in between the paw pads and cause discomfort with every single step. Imagine living like that every day.
So no I couldn’t let her walk out of here like that.
Today’s special guest needed me. And I needed her too.
She was extremely matted and way overdue for grooming. But this is always a no-judge zone. Life happens. People go through things. This post is not to bash pet parents it’s to educate my community.
And let me tell you something… she knew I was there to help her.
Usually she has behavior issues on the grooming table, but this time? She was amazing. Calm. Gentle. She even started licking me like she was saying “thank you.” That moment had me in tears.
This is why I do what I do.
She was healthy just overdue. And now? She looks incredible. Even better, she feels better. We’ve got her on a consistent 6-week grooming schedule so she never has to feel that discomfort again.
And yes, tools matter too.
