SUprogress video of my new creation 🙂↕️💘
this pattern was drafted by me and underwent 3 toiles to get the fit jussssst right (ok goldilocks) ! I wanted this piece to have enough ease for me to feel comfortable but still have a sense of shape and tailoring! I’m also fully obsessed with making my clothes look super professional from the inside, so ofc I lined it completely with a thin cotton fabric so that there are no exposed raw edges or overlocking needed. My favourite part is the big white buttons down the side front!! I love the 60s vibe ❤️🔥 lmk what you think of this and if you think I should release the pattern!!

REStill in shock that I MADE THIS! 🥹 I’ve always wanted to learn to knit and be able to wear my own handmade items on my travels. So this winter I finally got down to learning and now I am absolutely addicted to knitting. Plus I’m spending way less time doom scrolling, so that’s another win. I know this isn’t the typical content I post on this channel (usually things like this go on @reneenotroaming), but I was too excited not to share hehe
🗒️ Pattern: Step by Step Sweater by @handmade_by_florence. It’s a free pattern (you’ll find it on Ravelry) and there’s an in-depth YouTube video where she walks you through the whole process. Perfect for beginners and I couldn’t have done it without her tutorial! I had only knitted a simple beanie before this and that was a year ago, so I had forgotten everything.
🧶 Yarn: @langyarns_official Cloud in color 003 sourced from @violentcatlady (I think I used about 3.5 skeins). It’s a variegated yarn so it gradually changes colors as you knit, making these stripes. So fun!
I took some time off work over the holidays and this sweater ended up taking me 15 days to knit. I have a story highlight over at @reneenotroaming showing the progress. Now I can’t wait to wear this on some travels this year!! 💖
