We’ve had three different meetings in which this has been sung by three different choirs.
It’s a beautiful song, isn’t it? As we think about the words that memorialize and honor Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer, it draws our hearts closer to Him.

In Season 3, we will expose the lengths they’ll go to cover up their lies — from falsifying documents to bullying neighbors, and even trying to deflect their disgusting behavior onto others. But the community has had enough. We’re standing together to make sure their lies and manipulation no longer have any place in our lives.

JEOn November 10th, 1975, the SS Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior during a huge storm. 29 crewmen were lost. In December of that year Gordon Lightfoot wrote and recorded a song to memorialize the tragedy. It was released in 1976 on his album “Summertime Dream.” Gordon is an avid boater who has sailed on the Great Lakes.
“The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” became a number one hit in Canada as well as the U.S. He became involved with the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum located near Paradise, Michigan at the Whitefish Point Light Station just 17 miles from where the SS Edmund Fitzgerald went down. It is an incredible place to visit. He was also made an honorary board member of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society.
