2P26 by 26 - Episode 1: Mitsubishi Evo VI TME.
Welcome to a new series, where I take you on a trip down memory lane and highlight some of my greatest (and worst) automotive experiences to date.
On this week’s episode, we start with my favourite car of the lot - my old Mitsubishi Evo VI Tommi Makinen Edition. I’ve been lucky enough to steer some amazing cars and this still ranks number one as my favourite car I’ve ever driven. It’s light, agile, has plenty of power and an insanely fun steering and power response. It’s easy to see why the CP9A platform was an unstoppable WRC champion.
After this car was sold up north and met an untimely demise on the race track, I thought that was it, but thankfully it was rescued and restored with primo attention to detail back home in Adelaide. I was keen to grab it back, but I’ll wait it out til I can afford a red sticker pack.
