PTWhen I first started at the Citypoint club (now a Nuffield health) in Moorgate.
I remember specifically my gym manager Lizz saying “Phil, go and get some Powerplates classes booked in”
Powerplates were all the rage back then and it was my job to go and talk to members and get them to sign up for 6 or 10 paid classes.
The moment I was asked/ told to do this being on the gym floor felt awkward! It was as if everyone that I talked to knew I wanted to sell them something!
That made it super awkward and it super hard to do!
This is the exact same feeling some of the PT’s in the mentorship have when going out to do lead gen on the gym floor.
The reason for the awkwardness is down to one simple fact - structure. If you know what to say, it’s less awkward and there is a reason for talking to that member.
So to make it easy, the video showcases 10 of the simplest and easiest ways to start a conversation on the gym floor.

Nestled on a working farm by the river, it serves incredible food, offers panoramic views, and peaceful walks that make visiting feel completely relaxing.
We enjoyed a big breakfast, ‘hair of the dog’, waffles, and everything was absolutely delicious. Dog-friendly too!
Later in the year, there’s a maize maze, a large play area (not open currently), and pumpkin picking in autumn- making Old Hall Cafe in Southwold the perfect spot for a family day out.
